CoP 3 - Neverwinter's Foundry System

As part of my practical for CoP I've been looking into different Games i can use to test and produce my own body of work within. Neverwinter popped up on my radar because it has its own Quest Creation system within the game called 'The Foundry'.

The Foundry in Neverwinter is a tool where you decide the Quest name, Character NPC's involved, their dialogue, the players dialogue and what tasks they have to complete - if it be slaying enemies, finding other NPC's, collecting items or traveling to new areas, in order for the quest to progress and be completed.

This makes sense for a system like this to be in Neverwinter as a feature for players because Neverwinter is linked into the world of Dungeons & Dragons and D&D has always been well known for its players on the traditional tabletop system creating their own characters, worlds and story-lines to experience together. The Foundry offers this same experience only virtually and also provides its own sharing and rating system so players can give feedback to the content creators.

I think this is the perfect kind of platform for me to attempt to Remix well known stories into a different world - the world of Neverwinter with it's own lore, mythology and rules. I could create a set of different quests or the same story line presented in different ways.

- Fun Quest, bizarre and doesn't fit with D&D Lore. Inserting Sci Fi dialogue?
- Serious in Lore/Mythology. Abides with D&D Lore and storytelling.
- Remediation Quest -> Inserting Lore from elsewhere into Neverwinter (e.g. LOTR, Star Trek)
