CoP 3 - 2nd Lecture: Methodologies and Critical Analysis
When researching and analysing texts for your Dissertation ask yourself 'How the information is':
Sourced
Collected
Collated
Presented
1. Make decisions about how to collect and order information.
2. Choose a relevant theoretical stand point.
3. Apply these to your study.
4. Explicitly outline this in the introduction. Address suggested failings in the conclusion.
Evidence, Reason, Logic, Argument.
When thinking of a Methodology to involve within your Essay, think of how the topic you are approaching affects you, others, the industry. Examples:
- Culturally
- Economically
- Psychologically
- Technologically
Explore theorists/peer-reviewed authors in these fields that may have ideas you can build upon or adapt elsewhere.
